I have always loved cookies. There is something comforting about cookies that just instantly brings me back to my childhood. The smell from the oven, sneaking an extra cookie when no one was looking. But, honestly who can every eat just one – I know I can’t

Fun fact – the word cookie comes from the Dutch word koekje which directly translate as a little cake. Combine that with my favorite Dutch word Gezellig; combine the two words together and you got exactly the sentence cookies mean to me: “Gezelligheid in every bite.”

Over the years I have baked many kind of cookies but have always been terrible at taking pictures of them but my hope is that by continue baking and growing so will this website. I hope you’ll keep following along for more home made treats and plenty of koekjes along the way.
